Dr. Ila Patnaik is the Chief Economist at the Aditya Birla Group. She is a director of the LEAP Insights Foundation and the Co-Founder of AccioPix, an AI-powered face recognition platform for event photo sharing. Previously, she served as the Principal Economic Advisor to the Government of India, a Professor at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, and a Non-Resident Senior Associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Her research focuses on international macroeconomics, finance, and emerging economy business cycles, with work published in the Journal of International Money and Finance, the World Bank Economic Review, and International Finance.
