Concise AACR2rule 1E: Other title information

1E Other title information 245$b

1E1

Transcribe other title information (for example, a subtitle) appearing in the chief source of information.

1E2

If there is more than one subtitle (or unit of other title information) in the chief source of information, give them in the order in which they appear there.

1E3

If that other title information is lengthy and and dose not contain important information, omit it.

1E4

If the title proper needs explanation, make a brief addition as other title information.
When entering the other title information in 245$b, you have to add the ISBD punctuation in 245$a. Thus if the other title is a parallel title, add =, if the other title is a subtitle add ; at the end of 245$a. If there is no added title information, just close 245$a with /. If there is such information, put the / at the end of 245$b. If you have parallel title information, put the / at the end of 245$h rather than in 245$b or 245$a. When in doubt, check the “ISBD” view of koha to make sure it shows the slash before the statement of responsibility.
