Give useful descriptive information that cannot be fitted into
the rest of the description in a note. A general outline of
types of notes is given in rule
7B. If a note seems to be
useful, give it even if it is not in that general outline. When
appropriate, combine two or more notes to make one note.
Precede each note by a full stop, space, dash, space(. - ) or give each
noe as a spearate paragraph (see rule
0D).
Give notes (if
there is more than one note) in the order in which they are given in
the general outline (see rule
7B).
When referring to another work or bibliographic resource,
give those of the following elements that are relevant:
Use formal notes (those with the same introductory word(s)
if they can be easily understood and if they save space.
When writing your own notes, make them as brief and clear as possible.
